'Slam Dunk' anime film to premiere in Japan on December 3
The upcoming "Slam Dunk" anime film has announced its title and opening date!
On Saturday, the official Twitter account of the movie shared a poster bearing the words "The First Slam Dunk." It also included the date December 3, 2022.
According to a report on Anime News Network, several cinema chains in Japan have already put up theatrical posters showing Sakuragi, Rukawa, Miyagi, Mitsui, and Akagi.
"Slam Dunk" is a popular 90s anime based on the manga of the same name by Takehiko Inoue. The anime series was followed by four film sequels in 1994 and 1995.

The story follows the Shohoku High School Basketball Team as they dream of competing at the Inter-High Tournament.
The upcoming film will be directed by manga author Inoue, who is also writing the script. It will be produced by Toei Animation. A new teaser video will be released on Thursday.
