'Slam Dunk' anime film teaser shows sneak peek at 3DCG animation
The upcoming "Slam Dunk" anime film just dropped a short teaser showing a glimpse of its 3DCG animation.
The 20-second video released on Thursday showed the five starters of Shohoku High School playing on a basketball court.
In the YouTube comments, most fans expressed their excitement for the film, but a few are concerned about the use of computer generated imagery.
Titled "The First Slam Dunk," the film will premiere in Japan on December 3. It will be directed by manga author Inoue, who is also writing the script, and will be produced by Toei Animation.
"Slam Dunk" is a popular 90s anime based on the manga of the same name by Takehiko Inoue. The anime series was followed by four film sequels in 1994 and 1995.
The story follows the Shohoku High School Basketball Team as they dream of competing at the Inter-High Tournament.
