2 tigers in Malabon Zoo named after President Bongbong Marcos, First Lady Liza
By GMA News
Two tigers in Malabon Zoo were named after President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and his wife, First Lady Louise "Liza" Araneta-Marcos.
According to a 24 Oras report on Saturday, the tiger named Bongbong is a two-year-old royal Bengal tiger.
Tiger Liza, meanwhile, is a one-year-old rare Siberian tiger.
Malabon Zoo’s owner Manny Tangco said he hopes that the First Lady will support caring for nature.
He also believes that the Philippines will be a “tiger economy” under the Marcos administration. —Franchesca Viernes/KG, GMA News
