Here’s the schedule for Cinemalaya 2022


Cinemalaya is finally back at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and in select nationwide cinemas this year!

Running from August 5 to October 31, the film festival is themed “Breaking Through the Noise" for its 18th year.

 

 

 

“Leonor Will Never Die,” directed by Martika Ramirez Escobar, will kick off the two-month event. The film will be screened on August 5, Friday at 6:15 p.m. at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo, also called the CCP Main Theater.

Select Ayala Cinemas and SM Cinemas will be screening films from August 10 to 16. The film entries will also premiere in cinemas in Baguio, Clark, Dasmariñas, Legaspi, Bacolod, and Cagayan De Oro.

Meanwhile, Cinemalaya will hold virtual screenings from October 17 to 31.
The awards night will be held on August 14, Sunday, at 6:15 p.m. at the CCP main theater.

To buy festival passes and tickets, viewers can either head to the CCP Box Office or buy online via culturalcenter.gov.ph. Users need to create an account, click on the Live at CCP tab, then purchase at the Cinemalaya page.

Each festival pass is equivalent to 13 screenings for the 11 full-length films and two sets of short films.

Tickets are priced at P230 for SM regional cinemas and P250 for the CCP, Ayala Cinemas in the NCR and in the regions, and SM NCR branches. Festival passes are at P2,500. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA News
