Dragons and jets fight over the skies as Gen Urobuchi's 'Eisen Flügel' gets anime film adaptation


High fantasy and science fiction collide as "Eisen Flügel," Gen Urobuchi's light novel series, gets an anime film adaptation!

According to a report on Anime News Network, the film will be directed by Seiji Mizushima and Daizen Komatsuda. It will be produced by A-1 Pictures.

In a statement, Urobuchi said the story is about "a competition in a faraway world between a dragon and a jet to determine which held true superiority of the skies."

A video teaser and poster were released on Saturday, showing a fighter jet and a dragon taking to the skies. No release date has been announced so far.

The "Eisen Flügel" light novels were first published in 2009.

Urobuchi is known for his work on "Puella Magi Madoka Magica," "Bubble," and "Fate/Zero," among others.
