Taylor Swift releases theatrical, star-studded MV for 'Bejeweled'

Taylor Swift wrote and directed another wild music video, this time for “Bejeweled!”

The MV was inspired by "Cinderella" and all things theater.

Opening with a witty skit similar, Taylor plays the house wench who got exiled after the prince got tired of her. She has the girls of Haim as her stepsisters and Laura Dern as stepmother.

They talk about the ball where everyone has to enter a talent competition. The prize is a marriage proposal from Prince Charming — played by musician and music producer Jack Antonoff — and the keys to one’s own castle.

Taylor’s exile ends at midnight. When she heads out in an old Hollywood look, Taylor hangs out with fairy goddess Dita Von Teese in martini glasses.

Serving visuals all throughout, Taylor also sings while on a clock-type stage with showgirls.

Pat McGrath plays the queen, who is impressed with Taylor’s performance and so the Prince proposes to her. Taylor ends up ghosting him but keeps the castle.

“Bejeweled” is the second music video after “Anti-Hero” from the “Midnights” album, and Taylor has teased more intriguing visuals.

Ever the singer who gives easter eggs in her releases, Taylor’s fans on Twitter noticed that her song “Enchanted” played towards the end. The music video was also released on the 12th anniversary of “Speak Now,” and Speak Now TV or Taylor’s Version became the second highest trending topic on Twitter.
