Henry Cavill still won't be returning to Netflix's 'The Witcher'

If you're among the fans wondering if Henry Cavill will be returning to "The Witcher" following his departure from "Superman," it's sad news again.

According to a report on Variety, Netflix will be "moving forward unchanged," with Liam Hemsworth as the new Geralt of Rivia.

Previously, Netflix executive Peter Friedlander said, "Henry is an extraordinary Geralt and I think Liam will continue and also be an extraordinary Geralt. There has been a legacy of amazing, iconic characters where the actors have changed and we’re hugely optimistic about this."

Cavill played the lead role of Geralt of Rivia for the first three seasons of the show. Shortly after announcing that he'll be back as Superman, he announced his exit from "The Witcher."

However, the actor recently said that he won't be returning as Superman after all, as James Gunn and Peter Safran hop on to helm the new Man of Steel film.

"James and Peter have a universe to build," Cavill said. "I wish them and all involved with the new universe the best of luck and the happiest of fortunes."

Cavill first played Superman in the 2013 film "Man of Steel." His last portrayal of the superhero was in the 2017 film "Justice League." —JCB, GMA Integrated News
