Ambassador of Japan in the Philippines on 'Voltes V: Legacy' trailer: 'Brings back childhood memories'


The Ambassador of Japan to the Philippines, Koshikawa Kazuhiko, is one of the many fans looking forward to watching "Voltes V: Legacy."

On his official Twitter account, the ambassador retweeted the trailer of the upcoming live action adaptation.

He also included a photo of two "Voltes V" robot figures.

"Brings back childhood memories! Watching the trailer has made me shout 'Let's volt in!' out of excitement," Koshikawa said.

"Can't wait to watch this in full when it finally airs this year," he added.

"Voltes V: Legacy" unveiled its mega trailer—which runs over five minutes—during the GMA New Year Countdown.

The series stars Miguel Tanfelix and Ysabel Ortega as Steve Armstrong and Jamie Robinson while Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, and Raphael Landicho will play Mark Gordon, Big Bert, and Little Jon.

Other cast members include Dennis Trillo, Carla Abellana, Martin Del Rosario, Liezel Lopez, Epy Quizon, Carlo Gonzalez, and many more.

Directed by Mark Reyes, the live action adaptation has been licensed by Japan's own Toei Company, Ltd. through its Philippine-licensor Telesuccess Productions, Inc.
