'Zero Kilometers Away' lauded for relatable pilot episode
“Zero Kilometers Away” aired its first episode on Friday evening and netizens are loving how relatable it is.
Starring Kyline Alcantara as Gwen and Mavy Legaspi as Ardi, the six-part series is about navigating the harsh, creepy, and more often than not, hilarious realities of the online dating world.
In the first episode, Gwen gets worried that she will graduate college without a special someone and starts swiping on a dating app.
After a bad date, Gwen turns to her friend Ardi for support, but it causes some tension when Ardi calls her naive.
Despite that, the two make up. Meanwhile, Ardi struggles with his feelings for Gwen.
Netizens seem to have enjoyed the pilot.
“Gosh. Nakaka-relate!" one user said under the YouTube video. "May hugot din ako sa dating apps, Gwen."
Another said, “Sarap ma-inlove ulet. Masubukan nga dating app.”
“Fresh ng atake. Good job GMA and Mavy and Kyline,” another netizen said.
Fans also expressed their love for MavLine, who gave off “love vibes” and “kakaibang kilig.”
“Zero Kilometers Away” airs at 6 p.m. on the GMA Portal, GMA Public Affairs’ YouTube channel, and GMA-owned Facebook pages.
The next episodes are scheduled to be released on March 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
