BTS extends Guinness World Record as most streamed male group on Spotify
BTS remains as the most streamed male group on Spotify with more than 31 billion streams, extending and nearly doubling their previous Guinness World Record.
According to a report on "24 Oras," Sunday, BTS had 16.3 billion streams in April 2021. That was when they leapfrogged over Coldplay for the title of the most streamed group on the platform.
Meanwhile, their song "Dynamite" was also the most streamed song with 1.6 billion streams.
According to Soompi, BTS also still holds the record for most followers on Instagram, most followers on Twitter, and most followers on TikTok—all for the music group category.
The Guinness World Records also updated BTS's record for the most Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards won by a music group with the band's most recent win at the 2023 awards, bringing their total up to seven.
The members of BTS are currently off doing their own things as they prepare for their mandatory military service. Jin is already enlisted, and J-Hope has initiated the process for his own enlistment.
