'The Witcher' teaser trailer offers first look at season 3, reveals two-part release dates

Fans of the fantasy series, “The Witcher,” here's your first look at season 3!

The teaser trailer starts off with an ominous tone as the main character Geralt says, “Now, for the first time, I understand real fear.”

It then proceeds to show off a glimpse of some action scenes, as well as Ciri looking for Geralt and Yennefer.

“The Witcher” stars Henry Cavill as the monster-slaying Geralt or the White Wolf, Freya Allen as Princess Ciri of Cintra, and Anya Chalotra as the sorceress Yennefer.

According to Variety, season 3 will see Yennefer bringing them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about Ciri's magical powers as part of her training.

However, they find themselves entangled in a web of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back or risk losing each other forever.

Season 3 is divided into two volumes with the first becoming availabling on June 29, and Volume 2 on July 27.

This is the final season of Henry Cavill as Geralt. He will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth come season 4. — Kimberly Tsao/LA, GMA Integrated News
