SB19, BGYO, and Alamat are part of MsMojo's list of 'Top 10 International Bands You Should Know About'

P-pop continues to make waves all across the world!

Pop culture YouTube channel MsMojo has listed their “Top 10 International Bands You Should Know About,” and three Filipino groups are part of that list.

Alamat took the 7th spot, defined by the channel as a group that makes “Pinoy Pop with a purpose.” A band with multiethnic backgrounds, Alamat was commended for showcasing Filipino culture throughout their music and video concepts. Their lyrics also tackle colonialism, Filipino mythology, and are often sung in different languages.

BGYO or the “Aces of P-Pop” were in the 5th spot. MsMojo praised BGYO for being awesome performers and songwriters. With singles in different languages, “the group is eager to take their culture and signature style worldwide,” the channel said.

Finally, SB19 is in the top 2. The band’s photo was even used as the video’s thumbnail.

“When it comes to Filipino boy groups, one rises above the rest,” MsMojo said. They said that with their international success following hit videos and a world tour, SB19 is also making P-Pop and Southeast Asian music history.
