A giant 'Voltes V' inflatable stands in Bergenfield, New Jersey

What's a giant Voltes V inflatable figure doing in Bergenfield, New Jersey?

It's among the highlights of Bergenfield's most-awaited annual Family Fun Day.

According to Bergenfield's Mayor, Atty. Arvin Amatorio, loads of surprises await their guests. "There are tons of games for kids, concerts, inflatables. Everyone is welcome — people from other towns visit our family fun day and it's free for everyone," Amatorio said in a video courtesy of GMA Pinoy TV's Dave Llavanes, Elton Lugay, and Mae Trono.

He adds, the annual family fun day will culminate in a grand fireworks display.

Atty. Arvin is the second Fil-Am Mayor of Bergenfield, and his advocacies include putting forward Filipino-American history, stopping Asian hate crimes, and highlighting Filipino pop culture.

"I grew up in the Philippines watching 'Voltes V,' so when I had the opportunity to invite you to come to Bergenfield, I took it," he said.

Thanking GMA for bringing 'Voltes V' to the United States, Atty. Arvin said, "I'm so proud that 'Voltes V' is here in our local community in Bergenfield."

This year, Bergenfield's family fun day happens on June 11 at the Veteran's Memorial Park.
