BLACKPINK's Jennie apologizes to fans for leaving Melbourne concert midway

Jennie of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK posted an apology after abruptly exiting the stage at their recent concert in Melbourne.

On her Instagram Stories, Jennie told her fans, “I'm so sorry I wasn't able to finish the show on Sunday.”

The singer, who was seen with a band-aid on her arm during the concert, added that she is doing her best to recover.

Fans suspected that the band-aid indicated that Jennie received IV Therapy before performing.

“Your understanding and support means the world to me,” Jennie continued. “Thank you to everyone who came to our Melbourne show. Love you guys.”

According to BLACKPINK’s label, YG Entertainment, Jennie was "unable to complete the stage” due to her “deteriorating condition.”

"We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to all the fans who have shown their support for BLACKPINK and those who attended the event. We kindly ask for your understanding in this situation," the label’s statement read.

YG added, "Jennie expressed her strong determination to carry on with the performance until the end. However, following medical advice on site, we immediately took measures to ensure she receives ample rest and stability. Jennie has conveyed her regrets for not being able to stay with the fans until the end, and assures that she will recover as soon as possible."

BLACKPINK has been on the road since October 2022 for their Born Pink world tour, which included a two-day concert in Manila on March 25 and 26.
