Pauline Amelinckx on being Miss Supranational 1st runner-up: 'It is a victory'

Pauline Amelinckx said being a 1st runner-up in the recently concluded Miss Supranational "is a victory."

On Instagram, the beauty queen shared her reflections after she finished her Miss Supranational journey.

"All my love to you, Philippines," Pauline began.

"Ever since I stepped on our National Stage[,] it has been my greatest ambition to represent the PH internationally," she added. "It has been my greatest honor and pleasure to turn that ambition into reality and finally have been able to attach [the] Philippines to my name."

According to Pauline, the unwavering support that she received throughout her pageant journey has been "humbling, moving, and life-changing."

"This is not a one-woman journey[,] and I have so many people to thank for where I am right now and the victory that we share. (It IS a victory)," the beauty queen said.

"I am lowkey amazed at myself too. It felt so surreal to go through all the challenges and ups and downs of this journey and still have been able to [made] it this far," she added.

Pauline credited her success to earning a place in the pageant through all the training, hard work, heart work, and dedication that she went through over the past months.

"It takes a great amount of dedication toward your own personal growth and belief in your own worth to see rejection as redirection," she said.

"But one thing that I [learned] over the course of this journey is that we can tap into our inner strength to grow and bloom where life plants us," she added.

Pauline then thanked all her Filipino supporters for "every single vote, view, like, comment and prayer that you sent up for the Philippines in this journey."

"We even won the Suprachat challenge!! YOU made that possible. I cannot thank you all enough," she said.

"I will be looking back and reflecting some more for a bit. But for now, know that I am immensely proud of our victory, grateful for the love and excited to be back home," she added.

On Saturday, Pauline was proclaimed as the 1st runner-up in the Miss Supranational 2023 competition.

Pauline was named Miss Supranational Philippines following her third try at the Miss Universe Philippines pageant last May. She represented her hometown of Bohol.
