6-year-old becomes youngest to reach the summit of Mt. Bulusan

A six-year-old just became the youngest to ever reach the summit of Mt. Bulusan in Sorsogon.

According to a report by Jonathan Andan on "Saksi," Hiraya Mercado managed the feat with the help of his parents, who are both mountaineers. They made sure Hiraya was well-prepared and safe.

Mt. Bulusan rises 1,565 meters above sea level.

"We only slept for a little," Hiraya said. "It was so windy there."

Hiraya now dreams of reaching the summit of the mountains around the Philippines, and even the world.
