Marvin Agustin looks back on days as restaurant waiter
Did you know that Marvin Agustin worked as a waiter for a Mexican restaurant before he got into the showbiz industry?
On Thursday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Marvin looked back on his experience as a waiter for the restaurant Tia Maria's.
He recalled that he was so happy doing the job that he was rejecting showbiz offers.
"Noong nadi-discover ako para maging artista, ang kapal ng mukha ko, nagno-no ako," he said.
Aside from providing customers with their needs, waiters, including Marvin, need to dance whenever they serve a glass of margarita.
"Pinapasayaw kami ng customers kasi kasama 'yun sa buong presentation," he said, giving a sample of the dance they used to do.
However, there were also unpleasant instances.
"Minsan natatakbuhan ako ng customer kakasayaw ko," Marvin said. So nagbayad pa ako."
Despite what Marvin has achieved now as a restaurant owner in his own right, he said that he still reminds himself of an advice that was given to him early on.
