LEGO creates Pinoy-themed minifigures to mark PH independence

The Philippine Consulate General in New York received Pinoy-themed minifigures from toy company LEGO!

According to the PCG Facebook page, the limited commemorative pieces mark the 125th anniversary of Philippine Independence.

Consul General Senen Mangalile received the minifigures last Thursday at LEGO's flagship store in New York.

"As part of our continuing commemoration of our 125th Anniversary as a nation, we are happy that LEGO is paying homage to this Philippine milestone, thereby honoring the global Filipino," said Mangalile in a press release.

The figures are not available to the public, but Filipinos can visit the LEGO Minifigure Factory at Fifth Avenue to create their own Pinoy-themed pieces.

The figures will also be displayed at the Sentro Rizal New York.
