TWICE’s Chaeyoung to skip Philippine concerts due to health issues

TWICE’s Chaeyoung will not participate in the group’s concerts at the Philippine Arena due to health issues.

A statement from TWICE’s agency JYP Entertainment and reported by Soompi said, “We regret to inform you that Chaeyoung is unable to participate in the upcoming TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR ‘READY TO BE’ Bulacan concert due to health issues.”

The statement added that this decision was made after much consideration and to help Chaeyoung’s health.

“We convey this unfortunate news with a heavy heart as we know everyone was eagerly anticipating the show. We kindly request your understanding as this decision was made after much consideration to protect the health of the artist.”

JYP apologized to fans but also thanked them for the continued support.
 
“Thank you again for your anticipation and support for TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR ‘READY TO BE’ – Bulacan, and we apologize for having to share this news once again.”

TWICE is set to perform two sold-out shows at the Philippine Arena on September 30 and October 1.

This year, TWICE made a comeback with their 12th mini-album “READY TO BE.” It’s got seven tracks including “Set Me Free” and their second English single “Moonlight Sunrise,” released in January.

The nine-member group also received the Breakthrough Award at the Billboard Women in Music Awards 2023.

Members Naeyon and Jihyo have also released solo music. Members Mina, Sana, and Momo debuted as a subunit this year. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
