New YG girl group BABYMONSTER debuts with 'Batter Up'

YG Entertainment’s newest girl group, BABYMONSTER, just made their much-awaited debut!

On late Sunday, BABYMONSTER released their single “Batter Up” on YouTube, featuring the six members: Haram, Rora, Chiquita, Pharita, Ruka, and Asa.

According to Soompi, Asa co-wrote the music and lyrics for the single.

The song features the lines, “I’m on a mission/Don’t need permission/No matter what I’m gonna make my own decisions.”

BABYMONSTER’s debut came seven years after YG introduced BLACKPINK.

BABYMONSTER was first announced to debut with seven members, but YG later announced that Ahyeon would no longer join the debut “due to health reasons.”

As of this writing, “Batter Up” is on YouTube’s no.1 spot on trending music.
