'Good Omens' renewed for third and final season
"Good Omens" is returning for Season 3!
It was announced by the show's official page on Twitter.
"We are ineffably elated to confirm that Good Omens will return for a third season," they wrote. "This calls for a round of hot chocolate and sweet treats!"
"Good Omens" was created by Neil Gaiman based on the novel he co-wrote with Terry Pratchett, who died in 2015. Although the book was a standalone, Gaiman had revealed that they planned a sequel before Pratchett's death, and the series sequel followed that story.
In a statement, Gaiman said that he's "so happy to be able to finish the story" that he and Terry plotted in 1989 and in 2006.
"Terry was determined that if we made ‘Good Omens’ for television, we could take the story all the way to the end," he said.
Season 2 ended in a devastating cliffhanger, so what's in store for Season 3?
Gaiman said that "we will deal once more with the end of the world."
"The plans for Armageddon are going wrong," he added. "Only Crowley and Aziraphale working together can hope to put it right. And they aren’t talking.”
"Good Omens" premiered on Prime Video in 2019. The second season was released in July this year.
