Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco hopes next Earth queen is 'passionate, committed, competent'

Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco is counting down the last few moments before Miss Earth crowned a new queen!

On Instagram, the Filipina beauty shared dazzling snaps of herself in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

“Tomorrow is the day!” Karen wrote, recalling that one of the most memorable trips she had during her reign was also in Vietnam.

Karen invited her followers to tune in to the upcoming pageant and welcome the new Earth queen tomorrow.

“May she be passionate, committed, competent with an authentic heart for the planet. May the best candidate win!” Karen said.

This year’s Miss Earth coronation night is happening at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center.

The prestigious pageant will crown this year’s winner and runners-up with new crowns from the Long Beach Pearl company.

The Philippines is being represented by Yllana Marie Aduana, who has been making Filipino pageant fans happy with her impressive performances.

She made it to the Top 5 Best Appearance and won Miss Earth 2023’s Best Bikini. She also earned a spot in the Top 12 Best National Costume category for her Maria Makiling-inspired costume.
