Thick crowds and long lines form early at Philippine Arena for Coldplay

As early as 4pm, long lines have formed and thick crowds have gathered at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan for the first night of Coldplay's concerts in the country.

According to GMA Integrated News reporter Cata Tibayan, some came all the way from Rizal and as faraway as Bukidnon to catch the band's "Music of the Spheres" show.

The diligently fell and stayed in line as doors only opened at 5pm.

Meanwhile, heavy traffic has been reported on roads leading to the Philippine Arena.

Clearly, Filipinos are ready to rock.

OPM artist Jikamarie will open the show and take the stage at 7pm. Coldplay will begin playing at 8:15pm.

The English rockers are taking their sustainability efforts to the Philippine leg, with water stations scattered across the concourse and the field, and bike racks and EV chargers on site.

Fans are encouraged to bring their rubber water bottles and to sort and throw their waste in proper garbage bins to help in recycling.

On X (formerly Twitter) Thursday, Coldplay shared a sneak peek of the Philippine Arena and excitedly greeted their Filipino fans.

This is the second time Coldplay is performing in the Philippines.
