Ebe Dancel postpones ‘Dramachine’ anniversary concert due to health reasons
Ebe Dancel has rescheduled the “Dramachine” 20th anniversary concert to February due to health concerns.
Originally scheduled for January 26, Friday, the Dramachine 20th anniversary concert will be moved to February 3, Saturday.
It will still be held at 7 p.m. at 123 Block in Mandaluyong City.
“So heartbroken to announce that the concert will have to be moved to a week later,” Ebe said on X (formerly Twitter).
“I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and look forward to delivering an unforgettable performance on the new date,” he added.
All tickets will still be honored on the rescheduled date, but full refunds will be facilitated for fans who are unable to attend the new date.
Details of the refund will emailed, Ebe promised.
“I really hope to still see you all there. Thank you for your understanding,” the musician said. He signed, “Mahal ko kayo, Ebe Dancel.”
Sugarfree's former drummer Mitch Singson will be joining Ebe at the gig, where the album will be performed in its entirety.
“Dramachine” is Sugarfree’s sophomore release, which contains hits like "Hari ng Sablay," "Prom," and "Sinta."
Produced by Raymund Marasigan and Buddy Zabala of the Eraserheads, "Dramachine" contains 13 painfully honest songs that captured the sentiments and emotions of a generation that was coming of age.
Ebe left Sugarfree in 2011 to pursue a solo career.
In 2022, Ebe released the EP “Habangbuhay,” considered by many as the ultimate wedding soundtrack.
In February 2020, at the onset of the pandemic, Ebe performed his first solo major concert. In 2023, he belatedly celebrated the 20th anniversary of Sugarfree’s album, “Sa Wakas.”
