Easter celebrations: 7 places where you can bring the kids and have fun

Easter celebrations: 7 places where you can bring the kids and have fun

After Holy Week's much-needed slow down and silence, Metro Manila is bouncing back on Easter Sunday with lots of activities for the kids and the kids at heart.

Below are a few we found in the city that you can try and register for.

1. Araneta City's Easter Kingdom

Registration starts on March 31 at 11am for various activities at Araneta City. Gateway Mall 2 and Ali Mall have the Royal Parade Costume Contest, an Egg Hunting Hour at 2pm, a couple of shows, and various Easter activities like face paiting, crown coloring, and a claw machine.

2. Shangri-La The Fort's culinary offerings for every-bunny

The hotel at BGC has a lot in store for every taste, beginning with their Bake House's host of sweet treats. Easter Cares start at P1975. Meanwhile, High Street Cafe has lunch offers at P2,700, while Canton Road has delicious set menus featuring Cantonese dishes for big groups, starting at P18,888. Raging Bull Bull Chophouse also has Easter Specials with a la carte starting at P3250.

3. Easter Sunday on Ayala Avenue and Ayala Triangle Gardens

With more than 200 easter eggs hidden at the Serpentine Lawn of the Triangle Gardens in Ayala, it's safe to say Makati is throwing the biggest easter egg hunt of all. They will divide the egg hunt into two batches — 8am and 9am — with 100 slots for each batch. Open to kids 8 years old and below, the egg hunt will be on a first come first serve basis. Don't forget to register at the Help Desk Booth in front of Tower One and then proceed to the Serpentine Lawn.

Over 8 years old? You can join the Car Free Easter Sunday on Ayala Avenue and look for more than 1000 prizes. No registration needed for this one. If you find an egg, head on over to the Help Desk and claim your prize.

4. A futuristic egg hunt at Eastwood

It's not just any Easter egg hunt at Eastwood City. It's a virtual eggs-edition. The Quezon City mall is offering and augmented realized experience to the classic Easter pursuit. It will also have a selfie studio for those who want to capture such a special moment, an easter variety show, as well as a Bunny Bounce House inflatable for the utmost fun!

Pre-registration is only until Saturday but there is walk-in registration at 1pm, before program begins at 3pm. Present receipts totaling P1,500 from Eastwood establishments and get an event passport! Just remember, receipts from groceries and bills don't count. They should be dated March 24-31 only!

5. Easter Egglympics at Alabang Town Center

Alabang Town Center has quite a number of activities for their Easter Festivities! There's Egglympics that allows your kiddos to showcase their athleticism with a basketball shootout, a digital track run, and wacky noodle soccer and noodle spear throw. Just present receipts worth P3,000 and they get an armband, a loot bag, and entry to the Egglympics arena from 1pm-8pm.

Instead of a egg hunt, ATC has the Easter Egg Vending Machine, allowing you to crack open a mystery egg for a special prize. A P2,000 purchase receipt entitles you to an entry from 1pm-8pm.

There are also easter egg painting and stadium soft play in case too much action ain't for you.

6. Go on a staycation!

Cabin fever? Consider a staycation then! Sheraton Manila Bay has a special package for Easter.

The Easter Explorer Room Package allows two adults and two kids below 11 to enjoy breakfast buffet, a cooking class, dinner buffet for just P1,200, and the additional perk of access for two people to the Easter Sunday activities. Cool right?

7. A Super Easter Party

An egg hunt, food bars, musical show, games, and photo booth — Ascott Makati has pretty much everything at Mesclun!  There will be two party hours — 11am and 3pm — and each comes with a P1990 registration fee, which covers a kid and an adult companion.

Happy Easter every-bunny!
