Boy Abunda writes song dedicated to the LGBTQ community, set to drop at midnight

Boy Abunda has written a song dedicated to the LGBTQ community and it's set to drop at midnight Friday!

On Thursday’s episode of “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,” the King of Talk said the song was called “Bilang” and it will be released on all music platforms tonight. 

“'Bilang' is one of the six songs included in the first ever LGBTQ album titled “Say it Clear, Say it Loud,” in the Philippines. It is composed by young composer Miguel Umali and will be performed by LGBTQ icons Saga, Anton and Raven," the King of Talk said.

Not only did Tito Boy write "Bilang." With the help of his supervising producer Jerwin Nicomedez, he also produced and wrote all the songs in the six-song EP. 

“This is a work of a whole village. We would like to dedicate this sa inyong lahat,” he said. 

“Patuloy po ang aming laban para sa katarungan. WE just want equal rights. We just want equality,” Boy added. 

As an LGBT+ icon, Tito Boy shared his desire to do something for the community, which is to initiate a Philippine LGBT census.

In a past 24 Oras interview with Nelson Canlas, the talk show host said he wanted to initiate the census because "Naniniwala ako that data is power."

"Kung malalaman natin ang LGBT people in this country, simple lang ‘yun — I will go to the senate and say, ‘Mga senador, pitong milyon po kami. Gusto niyo ho bang pakinggan kami?’”
