Miss Charm Organization postpones upcoming pageant due to candidates' visa problems

Miss Charm Organization postpones upcoming pageant due to candidates' visa problems

The Miss Charm Organization just announced that this year’s competition will be postponed due to “unforeseen challenges.”

In an official statement on Thursday, they said that there was trouble "obtaining visas for many of our contestants."

"The time required to secure these visas is insufficient, and we believe it would be unfair to proceed without all participants who have dedicated significant time and effort preparing for this prestigious event," the statement said.

The organization said that they understand the disappointment this may cause and apologize for any inconvenience.

“Our priority is to ensure that every contestant has the opportunity to compete on a level playing field, showcasing their hard work and dedication without facing unnecessary barriers,” they said. “We ask for your understanding and support as we work diligently to reschedule the event at a later date, ensuring that all contestants can participate fully. Further details about the new date and venue will be announced as soon as possible.”

“We want to assure you that the voting process and results will continue and remain unaffected. Thank you for your patience and continued support," they added.

The competition was supposed to take place on August 24 in the United States.

The Philippines’ representative at the upcoming pageant is 27-year-old Fil-Am Kayla Jean Carter.

She was given the title a month after Krishnah Gravidez withdrew her candidacy for Miss Charm International 2024.

Krishnah then competed at Miss World Philippines 2024 and won the crown.
