Lady Gaga to release new album 'Mayhem' in March
Lady Gaga is releasing her much awaited seventh album “Mayhem” on March 7.
The pop icon teased “Mayhem” through billboards in the US, and with an intriguing video teaser showing her with short black layered hair.
According to Billboard, the album will consist of 14 tracks. It includes her previously released singles “Die with a Smile” with Bruno Mars and “Disease,” according to the tracklist on Spotify.
A single and music video will be coming out on February 2 during a commercial break of the Grammy Awards.
“The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved,” Lady Gaga said in a statement.
She further described the songwriting process as “reassembling a shattered mirror.”
“Even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way,” the singer said.
Lady Gaga has been teasing her music comeback since early 2024.
She previously dropped the companion album “Harlequin” in September 2024 for the film, "Joker: Folie a Deux." She also starred as Harley Quinn in the movie.
“Mayhem” will be Lady Gaga’s first official album in five years, after 2020’s “Chromatica.”
Lady Gaga is best known for the songs “Poker Face,” “Bad Romance,” and “Just Dance,” among many others.
