J-Hope concert, SOS tour, UP Fair, and more exciting music events in Metro Manila this April

April is a jam-packed month for music lovers and enthusiasts!

Metro Manila is teeming with music events across various scenes and venues, from the underground to large arenas. There's also a genre for every type of listener, with OPM, K-pop, grunge, cybergoth, alternative and dance music, and more taking centerstage this month.

Whether it's J-Hope's concert or a chill gig night with friends you're after, here are 10 exciting music events to check out this April!

1. UP Fair

The UP Fair is here.

The annual advocacy-led music event started on April 2 and will run until Saturday, April 5 with the theme “Isigaw ang Bukas.”

Tonight, April 4, the Elements stage will feature artists like December Avenue, Lola Amour, Spongecola, Adie, Gloc-9, The Itchyworms, and more.

The Rev Music Festival, happening tomorrow, has a lineup of Kitchie Nadal, Imago, 6cyclemind, TJ Monterde, Maki, Over October, James Reid, The Ridleys, and more.

UP Fair: Isigaw ang Bukas is happening from April 2 to 5 at the Sunken Garden, University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City. Tickets are priced at P350. Walk-in ticket selling is available on February 5 at 7 a.m. at the Sunken Garden in front of the College of Education.

 

2. All of the Noise: 10 years of The Rest is Noise

The Rest is Noise is celebrating 10 years of music.

From April 4 to 5, fans will be treated to live music, talks, film screenings, and a photography exhibit.

Among the performers on Friday are San The Wordsmith from Singapore, SOS, Ena Mori, Pedicab, Cheeky Things, and more.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, The Chairs from Taiwan, Kiki from Thailand, Logic Lost from Indonesia, Waiian, Obese.dogma777, SVATG, and more will be performing.

The music and culture discussions range from topics like “Bisdak! VisMin Music Community and Decentralizing OPM Narratives & Opportunities” and “Empowering Queer Visibility and Imagery in Pinoy Music.”

Meanwhile, the music documentaries “Budots: The Craze” and “Jingle Lang Ang Pahina” will be screened and will have director talkbacks.

Karen De La Fuente will have a music photography exhibit titled, “Welcome To The Static.”

All of the Noise: 10 years of The Rest is Noise, is happening on April 4 and 5, at The Astbury, Orion corner Mercedes, Poblacion, Makati City. Tickets are now available and are priced at P800 for one-day passes and P1,400 for two-day passes.

 

3. SOS: It Was a Moment album tour

SOS is going on a tour all throughout April in celebration of their second album, “It Was a Moment.”

The band will start their tour on April 4 at All of the Noise: 10 years of The Rest is Noise, will visit various venues across Manila, and then will have a show on April 30 at Jacques, Los Banos, Laguna.

More cities, dates, and opening acts are yet to be announced on SOS’ social media pages.

 

4. Your Weapon is Guilt

Laughing Horz Productions is all set to present their debut gig, Your Weapon is Guilt, named after the lyric in the Alice in Chains song, “Sludge Factory.”

Your Weapon is Guilt promises a night of grunge, with covers of Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Hole, Teeth, Garbage, Queens of the Stone Age, and more. The night features some of today’s independent underground artists: Noa Mal, Closing Party, Supervknown, Unikko Ijo, The Mandela Project, Joan Velasquez, and Oso.

Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite grunge or ‘90s icon.

Your Weapon is Guilt happens on April 11, 7 p.m. at Mow’s Bar, Matalino St., Quezon City. Tickets are priced at P350 for regular and P250 for student, and are available on Laughing Horz’s social media pages.

 

5. GRAVE Encounters

GRAVE is back to celebrate their second anniversary.

The event promises an alternate party in the dark, with lots of dancing to cybergoth and the supernatural.

The night will have DJ sets by U-Pistol, Chain Messages back to back with K1ko, Headachemaximum, T33G33, Pet School, and Bags.fm.

In true gRAVE fashion, guests are encouraged to dress in black.

GRAVE Encounters is happening on April 12, 7 p.m., at the Dining Hall, Kowloon House, Matalino St., Quezon City. Tickets are priced at P350 for pre-sale and P400 for regular, and are available on gRAVE’s social media pages.

 

6. NCT Wish Asia Tour Log in Manila

NCT Wish is all set to meet their Filipino fans for the first time with a fun-filled day.

The Japanese boy group, and the sixth sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT, will be performing at the New Frontier Theater. They debuted in 2023 and are known for the songs “Steady,” “Hands Up,” and “Wish.”

NCT Wish Asia Tour Log in Manila is happening on April 12 at the New Frontier Theater, Quezon City. Ticket prices range from P5,500 to P11,500 and are available via Ticketnet.

 

7. J-Hope’s 'Hope on the Stage' concert

Your hope is coming to Manila for a solo tour!

J-Hope from BTS is bringing his Hope on the Stage concert tour to the SM Mall of Asia Arena on April 12 and 13.

The BTS ARMY can expect J-Hope’s hit songs like “More,” “Hope World,” “Airplane,” and “Arson,” as well as newly released singles like “Sweet Dreams” and “Mona Lisa.”

J-Hope’s Hope on the Stage tour is happening on April 12 and 13 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. According to Live Nation Philippines, tickets are now sold out.

 

8. Lee Min Ho’s 'Minhoverse' fan meet

Get ready for Minhoverse.

Lee Min Ho will be reuniting with Filipino fans through his Minhoverse fan meeting at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on April 26.

The actor is best known for his roles in “Boys Over Flowers,” “Pachinko,” and “Gangnam Blues.”

Lee Min Ho’s Minhoverse is happening on April 26 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Ticket prices range from P2,760 for General Admission to P11,660 for VIP. These are available via SM Tickets.

 

9. Scrubb x Pamungkas: Live in Manila

Thai indie electronic duo Scrubb and Indonesian singer-songwriter Pamungkas are taking the Manila stage on April 26. The artists will each have long sets.

Joining them are Filipino bands The Ridleys and Shirebounds with special sets.

Scrubb is best known for the songs "Everything," "Close" "Together," "Click," and "Smile." Meanwhile, Pamungkas is the hitmaker behind “To the Bone,” “One Only,” and “A Day That Feels Better.”

The gig is also in celebration of Gabi Na Naman Productions’ 10th anniversary.  

Scrubb x Pamungkas: Live in Manila is happening on April 26, 123 Block, Mandaluyong City. Tickets are priced at P5,200 for VIP with perks, and P1,900 for General Admission. These are available via HelixPay.


 
10. MNL48 Reboot and Rise 2025

MNL48 is making their highly anticipated comeback with Reboot and Rise 2025!

The Philippines’ first all-female idol group will hold a mini-festival on April 26 at the SM North Edsa, and promises a day filled with “music, memories, and milestones.”

The occasion is more than just MNL48’s comeback after their long hiatus caused by the pandemic, but it is also a send-off for graduating members Abby, Dian, Francese, Jan, Jem, Sela, and Sheki.

AKB48’s first international unit Quadlips, which is composed of members from all around the world, will also perform.

MNL48 Reboot and Rise 2025 is happening on April 26, 5:00 p.m., SM North EDSA Annex, 4th Floor Atrium, Quezon City. Ticket prices range from P300 for General Admission to P1,800 for Super VIP and are now available via SM Tickets.
