Purple-loving woman throws birthday party where even the adobo is color purple
What do you do when you are die-hard fan of the color purple? Why, throw a purple-themed birthday party!
According to Jonathan Andal’s report in “SONA” on Tuesday, Marilyn De Guia loves purple so much she's earned the monitor Madam Violet.
She's been wearing violet for the past 15 years because according to De Guia, the color gives her energy.
“Palagi akong naka-violet talaga. Wala akong time na hindi naka-violet. Para sa akin pagka nakasuot ka ng violet, parang energy ko na ‘yung violet. 15 years na ako naka-violet,” she said.
So when she threw a birthday celebration, Marilyn made sure everything was purple — from the dress code to the food on the table, every detail embraced her favorite color.
The highlight of her birthday celebration? Food that's also colored purple. Not just ube, mind. But the rice, the pancit, and even the adobo was colored purple.
How did they do it? By using patis and some food coloring.According to the 59-year-old, celebrating her birthday with a purple theme has become a personal tradition — and yes, even the gifts must come in her favorite color.
Her love for the color purple also extends in their home where every corner of their lovely abode is filled with her favorite hue.
“Sabi lang nila, kapag nagsuot ng violet medyo bumabata. Siyempre proud ako doon,” she said. — Jade Veronique Yap/LA, GMA Integrated News
