Lisa of Blackpink mourns lost lover Kentaro Sakaguchi in 'Dream' MV

Lisa and Kentaro Sakaguchi serve the biggest heartbreak in the short film music video for the Blackpink member's latest single, "Dream."

The cinematic MV starts with Lisa alone at a wake, standing by the coffin, wearing all black. Kentaro enters and the two go on a car ride together.

It's then revealed that Kentaro is not really in the car, but rather his ashes in an urn. Lisa scatters his ashes in a lake, because a flashback showed that Kentaro once told her he wants to become a lake in his next life after she said she wants to become a tree. 

"There's something magical about the way trees reflect on the lake," he said. "So I want to be the lake."

They also seem to have broken up prior, because he was shown handing her apartment keys.

"We can catch up, drive down our old street, if all that we were is all that we'll ever be," Lisa sings. "It's bittersweet, at least a girl can dream."

"Dream" is part of Lisa's solo album "Alter Ego," which dropped in March. It features the songs “Rockstar,” “Born Again,” “New Woman,” “Moonlit Floor,” and “FUTW.”

Meanwhile, Blackpink dropped their latest single “Jump” in July.

The group is set to visit the Philippines for their "Deadline" world tour in November. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
