'One Piece' fun run sets sail in QC in September
Get ready to hit the streets as the "One Piece" run 2025 unfolds on September 28 at SM Fairview.
Organized by RUNRIO, around 8,000 runners are expected to join the anime-inspired race, which transforms the route into the colorful world of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates.
Participants can choose from 10K, 5K, 3K, and 1K categories, each featuring checkpoints designed after islands and moments from the series.
Earlier in August, Netflix announced that "One Piece" is getting a third season as it unveiled the first teaser for Season 2.
"One Piece" Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix in 2026. It will introduce a new crew member, the beloved reindeer doctor, Chopper.
Based on the manga by Eiichiro Oda, "One Piece" follows Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew as they search the seas for the treasure called the One Piece, and crown Luffy as the King of the Pirates. — Hermes Joy Tunac/LA, GMA Integrated News
