Emman Atienza gets tattooed by Apo Whang Od

Emman Atienza just had the privilege of meeting and getting tattooed by the legendary Apo Whang Od .

On Instagram, the Status by Sparkle content creator shared photos from her latest trip to Buscalan Village in Kalinga, where she got herself tattooed with the signature three dots by Apo Whang Od.

“Oldest tattoo artist in the world,” Emman said in the caption.

In February 2024, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. honored Apo Whang Od for her contributions to the Philippine traditional arts. She was bestowed with the Outstanding Government Workers of 2023 and the Presidential Medal of Merit awards.

In 2023, the oldest and last mambabatok was featured on the cover of Vogue Philippines , where she exuded beauty and strength.
