'Jujutsu Kaisen 3 Modulo': Gege Akutami introduces Yuta and Maki's grandkids as sequel protagonists
Gege Akutami is cooking up a new manga, and it turns out to be a sequel to his hit series "Jujutsu Kaisen!"
Titled "Jujutsu Kaisen 3 Modulo," the new story is set over six decades after the Shinjuku Showdown in the original manga.
According to Game Rant, Akutami wrote the story, while illustration is by Yuji Iwasaki.
"Jujutsu Kaisen 3 Modulo" revolves around the grandkids of Yuta and Maki: Tsugiri Okkotsu and Yuuki Okkotsu. Both Yuta and Maki have passed away at this point.
The sequel is supposedly short, estimated to run for about six months.
Akutami's "Jujutsu Kaisen" concluded in September 2024. The anime currently has two seasons.
Yuta and Maki are first introduced in the prequel, "Jujutsu Kaisen 0." They take a backseat in the main series, "Jujutsu Kaisen," which follows Yuji Itadori in his journey to defeat the King of Curses, Sukuna. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
