'DRPH: Slaysian Royale': Brigiding earns first RuBadge of her career in 'Homecoming Queens' episode
It’s been back-to-back good episodes for Brigiding, but this time, she left no stone unturned to finally bring home the win.
The latest episode of "Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale" marked a major milestone for Brigiding, who earned her very first RuBadge in the same challenge (Family Rusemblance) where she was previously eliminated in Season 1 of the drag competition.
In the "Homecoming Queens" episode, the queens teamed up in pairs for the Family Rusemblance Maxi Challenge, where they transformed OFW moms into members of their drag families.
The pairings were: Brigiding with Yuki Doll, Viñas Deluxe with Khianna, Arizona Brandy with Bernie, and Siam PhuSri with Yuhua.
Brigiding and Yuki Doll styled their OFW mom in an extravagant terno created by Filipino fashion designer Santi Obcena.
"For this runway, I wanted to honor the spirit of the Pilipinang Ina - strong, nurturing, and always serving (sa mesa man o sa main stage)," Brigiding said on Instagram.
The fully realized concept earned Brigiding and Yuki Doll the win, while Arizona Brandy and Bernie landed at the bottom.
Following this season's format, the two top queens lip-synced for their legacy and decided who would be eliminated.
In the end, Brigiding secured her first RuBadge of the season and sent Bernie home.
At a D’Intervention viewing party at Rampa Drag Club, Brigiding reflected on her journey, echoing her Season 1 exit words: "Learning is the new winning, and I carry that with me every step of the way."
"This journey means more to me than just competition. It's about resilience, reinvention, and staying true to who I am," she said.
"I hope my story shows that strength can be found in vulnerability, and that drag has the power to heal and inspire," she added.
