'Anaconda' reboot sends Paul Rudd, Jack Black on hilarious adventure in first trailer
"Anaconda" is getting a comedic reimagining, and Paul Rudd and Jack Black are leading the charge.
Columbia Pictures Philippines unveiled the trailer of the upcoming comedy film, showing childhood friends Griff (Paul) and Doug (Jack) plotting to remake the classic snake movie “Anaconda.”
They head into the Amazon to shoot their project, having rented a snake to serve as the main prop. But when the snake unexpectedly dies, Doug, Griff, and their crew head deeper into the jungle in search of a replacement.
What begins as a chaotic indie film project quickly spirals into a life-or-death ordeal when they come face-to-face with a real, giant anaconda.
Aside from Paul and Jack, the film also stars Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior and Selton Mello.
It is set to premiere in Philippine cinemas in January 2026.
