‘DRPH: Slaysian Royale’ brings Lola Amour onstage for Khianna, Yuhua lip-sync showdown

‘DRPH: Slaysian Royale’ brings Lola Amour onstage for Khianna, Yuhua lip-sync showdown

For the first time in “Drag Race” history, the “Slaysian Royale” episode featured a live band performance during a lip-sync showdown.

In the “Lip Sync Lalaparuza Smackdown” episode of “Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale” aired Wednesdya, the six remaining queens, Arizona Brandy, Brigiding, Khianna, Suki Doll, Yuhua, and Viñas DeLuxe, brought their A-game to lip-sync for their lives across three rounds, fighting to save themselves to stay in the competition.

Suki Doll, Brigiding, and Arizona Brandy won their respective rounds, leaving Yuhua, Viñas DeLuxe, and Khianna in the bottom placements. Brigiding was hailed as the winner of the episode.

Episode 7 marked a shift in the season’s format. From this point forward, the queens in the bottom would have to lip-sync to save themselves.

As the winner of this week's episode, Brigiding had the power to save one queen from the bottom, and she chose to save Viñas DeLuxe. This left Khianna and Yuhua to face off in a lip-sync battle to Lola Amour’s “Misbehave,” performed live by the band.

In the end, Mama Pao announced Khianna as the winner of the lip-sync performance and eliminated Yuhua.

At a Bekenemen viewing party hosted by Baus Rufo and Myx Chanel in Makati City, Khianna apologized for nearly giving up during the “Snatch Election” episode, but reassured fans that she was back in the game.

“I’m so sorry kung nag give up ako pero, girl, never again,” she said. “Pwede ka mapagod pero ‘di ka mag-gi-give up.”

Khianna also expressed how much she enjoyed the episode, emphasizing that it was all about the performance.

“Laban na laban ako,” she said. “Wala akong strategy, nag enjoy lang ako. Drag should be fun so nag-enjoy lang ako.”

“Ready na ready ako lumaban that time kasi I want to prove that I’m a Slaysian Royalty,” she added.

Meanwhile, Lola Amour shared their excitement about making history as the first band to perform live on a “Drag Race” stage.

“Grabe rin ‘yung saya namin nito, gusto rin namin maki-cheer habang nanonood,” Lola Amour wrote on X.

At a “D’Intervention” viewing party at Rampa Drag Club in Quezon City, the band also performed “Misbehave” live with Drag Race Philippines Season 3 winner Maxie.

Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale streams every Wednesday exclusively on WOW Presents Plus.
