Antipolo’s Carolina Bamboo Garden to hold bamboo seminar anew on October 18

Carolina Bamboo Garden in Antipolo City is set to hold its 27th Bamboo Training and Seminar this October, offering an in-depth learning experience for those interested to know more about bamboo, one of the most sustainable resources in the country.

The full-day seminar will take place on October 18, Saturday, from 8a.m. to 5 p.m. and will cover essential topics including bamboo growing, management, propagation, and harvesting.

Participants will also gain insights into bamboo processing and utilization, as well as learn about financing opportunities through the Land Bank of the Philippines' Lending Program.

Aside from the seminar, participants can explore the garden’s many attractions, including an interactive bamboo museum, areas where bamboo treatment and propagation take place, a bambusetum featuring 45 species of bamboo, a butterfly garden, a unique bahay kubo, and more.

Established in 2000, the Carolina Bamboo Garden is home to a diverse collection of indigenous and exotic plant species. It also serves as a living laboratory for research on various aspects of bamboo production, utilization, and sustainability.

A collaborative project between the Majent Foundation and the Ecosystem Research and Development Bureau (ERDB), the garden is dedicated to promoting an ecologically balanced environment through the propagation and distribution of bamboo seedlings across the country.

To date, it has successfully collected and cultivated 45 different bamboo species.
