Former BIGBANG member T.O.P to make music comeback after 12 years – report
Idol T.O.P is back!
Citing industry sources, The Korea Herald reported on Tuesday that the former BIGBANG member is making a comeback as a solo artist with a full-length album set to be released in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The exclusive report also said that the Korean star will be working with Chae Kyoung Sun, the art director and production designer for “Squid Game” which he starred in.
“T.O.P’s studio album is scheduled for release sometime in or after October. He has completed recording and plans to shoot several music videos. An art director of ‘Squid Game’ will oversee the production,” an industry source told The Korea Herald.
The upcoming studio album comes 12 years after the release of his digital single “Doom Dada” in 2014.
T.O.P debuted along with G-Dragon, Taeyang, Daesung and ex-member Seungri in BIGBANG in 2006.
The group last made a comeback in 2022 with the single “Still Life.”
In 2023, he announced his departure from the group as well as from YG Entertainment.
T.O.P was known for his role as Thanos in “Squid Game.”
