Taylor Swift's 'The Life of a Showgirl' album is out now

Taylor Swift is back with new music!

The singer-songwriter dropped her much awaited new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” on Friday, October 3. Along with the album release, Taylor shared visualizers for each song on her YouTube channel.

“I can’t tell you how proud I am to share this with you, an album that just feels so right,” Taylor said in an Instagram post.

She thanked her mentors, music producers Max Martin and Shellback, “for helping me paint this self portrait.”

“If you thought the big show was wild, perhaps you should come and take a look behind the curtain...” she added.

Included on “The Life of a Showgirl” are “The Fate of Ophelia,” “Elizabeth Taylor,” “Opolite,” “Father Figure,” “Eldest Daughter,” “Ruin the Friendship,” “Actually Romantic,” “Wi$h Li$t,” “Wood,” “CANCELLED!” “Honey,” and the title track which features Sabrina Carpenter.

To celebrate the new album, Taylor also held a release party in cinemas where she unveiled the music video for “The Fate of Ophelia.”

In May, Taylor bought back the rights to her entire music catalog after being locked in a feud with record executives since 2019 over ownership of her music.

Prior to this, she has been releasing re-recorded versions, or the “Taylor’s Version,” of her past albums.

Taylor’s last album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” came out in 2024.
