'Physical: Asia' shares glimpse of Manny Pacquiao, Team Philippines athletes in official trailer
“Physical: Asia” has unveiled its main trailer, and it's a fight for survival for the show's competing athletes, including Manny Pacquiao and the rest of Team Philippines.
The two-minute trailer showed the boxing champ hurdling with Filipino athletes, as they face seven other national teams across the continent.
“Get ready to scream UY PILIPINS as we witness our legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao and his roster of elite Filipino athletes compete against 7 other national teams from across the continent in ‘Physical: Asia!’” Netflix said.
The trailer shared brief glimpses of the contestants undergoing physical challenges in the game, shouting in pain and exhaustion.
"Physical: Asia" is the newest season of the "Physical: 100" franchise, which originated from South Korea. While the original reality show featured 100 competitors fighting to outlast each other in a grueling individual tournament, the upcoming season will be a team competition featuring top-tier athletes representing their respective countries.
Manny leads Team Philippines, which is comprised of Fil-Am national team sambo athlete Mark "Mugen" Striegl, strongman Ray Jefferson Querubin, national team rugby player Justin Coveney, national team hurdler Robyn Lauren Brown, and crossfit athlete Lara Liwanag.
"Physical: Asia" is set to premiere on October 28 on Netflix.
