Brigiding’s 5 best moments in ‘DRPH: Slaysian Royale’
Brigiding came prepared, and this time, her hard work was rewarded with a crown as she emerged the first-ever Slaysian Royale Drag Superstar.
Her crowning moment came three years after she first competed in the debut season of “Drag Race Philippines.” Back then, she exited the competition in sixth place, leaving fans with the memorable line: “Learning is the new winning.”
Three years later, the seasoned drag queen made a powerful return in “Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale” and took home the crown.
Below are five of Brigiding’s standout moments that proved she is deserving of the crown.
Brigiding is a natural performer. When she steps on stage, she owns it: connecting with both the audience and the camera effortlessly.
In the “Asian Eyyy!” episode, she delivered her verse with passion and precision, contributing to her all-Filipina group securing the win. It was a defining reminder of why Brigiding has long been one of the Philippines’ most dynamic drag artists.
2. Design challenge
In the “Holy Cacao” episode, Brigiding stunned the judges with her artistry. She crafted a breathtaking gown made of 900 fossilized red cacao leaves.
The fitted bodice and flowing train moved perfectly with her every step, earning her praise for creativity and craftsmanship.
3. Happy Face-tival runway
For the “Happy Face-tival” runway of the Rusical episode, Brigiding took inspiration from Philippine church iconography.
She transformed herself into a living statue: a marble-like vision that blended art, culture, and drag excellence.
4. First RuBadge of her career
In the “Homecoming Queens” episode, Brigiding finally earned the first RuBadge of her career, which was a well-deserved milestone that marked her RuDemption moment.
“You’ll never forget your first,” as they say, and for Brigiding, it symbolized her growth and resilience since her first “Drag Race Philippines” stint.
In the grand finale, Brigiding and Viñas DeLuxe, who are both members of the beloved drag trio Divine Divas alongside Precious Paula Nicole, made it to the Top 2.
Before their lip-sync battle, the two shared heartfelt messages of love and mutual respect.
“I am so grateful and happy to be sharing this moment with my very good sister, who’s also inspiring, who’s also loving, and honest and true,” Brigiding said.
“I am so happy and grateful that I get to share the same experience with Brigiding. Win namin ‘tong pareho,” Viñas added.
In the end, Brigiding was crowned the first Slaysian Royale Drag Superstar, taking home P2 million, a year’s supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics, and a spot in the Slaysian Royale Hall of Fame.
Throughout the season, she proved her dominance by earning three RuBadges to her name in the episodes “Homecoming Queen,” “Lip Sync Lalaparuza Smackdown,” and “High Time.”
