‘Dreamboi’ starring Tony Labrusca gets R-18 rating on 3rd attempt

“Dreamboi” has finally been cleared for public screening after being rated R-18 by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board on its third appeal.

The film’s official Instagram page announced the news, celebrating the long-awaited approval.

“After being rated X twice, Dreamboi is finally R-18,” they wrote. “Thank you, everyone, for fighting with us.”

“We owe this to everyone who echoed their sentiments, refused censorship, and believed in the politics of our film,” the statement added.

Described as an erotic thriller exploring trans desire, "Dreamboi" stars Tony Labrusca, EJ Jallorina, and Migs Almendras. It is a film by trans filmmaker Rodina Singh.

The film is part of this year’s CineSilip Film Festival, running from October 22 to 28 exclusively in Ayala Malls Cinemas.
