'Stranger Things 5' official trailer: Vecna turns Hawkins into a dystopian world, comes for Will
The "Stranger Things 5" official trailer is finally out, and it looks like Hawkins is in a full blown war against the Upside Down.
Following the events of the Season 4 finale, military outposts and checkpoints have been set up as demigorgons lay siege on the town.
"We're really starting to lose it," Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) tells Eleven (Millie Bobbie Brown). "Being stuck in here. No end in sight."
The gang then makes a plan to find the Upside Down's biggest boss, Vecna, and "end this once and for all" before he ends the world.
Emotional scenes show Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) and Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo) hugging, Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) and Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) crying together, and Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin) carrying Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) to safety.
Vecna is then shown approaching Will Byers and reaching to touch his face.
"William, you are going to help me one last time," Vecna says ominously.
To recall, in Season 1, Will got trapped in the Upside Down, setting off the sequence of events that has led to Hawkins' current apocalyptic reality.
"Stranger Things 5" will premiere on Netflix in three parts: Vol. 1 on November 26, Vol. 2 on Christmas Day, and the finale on New Year's Eve.
The hit sci-fi series first premiered in 2016. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
