'Wuthering Heights' official trailer pairs up Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi for steamy reimagining of the classic romance
"Wuthering Heights" just released its official trailer, and there is no shortage of passion.
Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi brings to life the twisted love story of Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff in a reimagining of the classic novel by Emily Brontë.
The trailer shows the farmhouse Wuthering Heights, the home of Catherine and Heathcliff, as well as glimpses of their childhood, their romance, their falling out, and their reunion.
It also teased music by Charli XCX, who is set to release her "Wuthering Heights" album.
Directed by filmmaker Emerald Fennell, "Wuthering Heights" follows Heathcliff, a brooding orphan, and his intense relationship with Catherine Earnshaw. After Catherine marries Edgar Linton, Heathcliff, filled with jealousy, seeks revenge on those who wronged him, creating a cycle of pain that impacts multiple generations.
It is set to hit the Philippine cinemas in February 2026.
Robbie is known for her roles as Harley Quinn in "Suicide Squad" (2016) and the title character in "Barbie" (2023). Elordi, who got famous for roles like "The Kissing Booth" and "Euphoria," also starred in "Saltburn" (2023), "Priscilla" (2023), and "Frankenstein" (2025). —JCB, GMA Integrated News
