Lee Jong Suk's fan meet in Manila canceled due to unforeseen circumstances

South Korean actor Lee Jong Suk's fan meet in Manila on November 30 has been canceled "due to unforeseen circumstances."

His agency, Ace Factory, made the announcement on social media, Monday, citing the safety of the artist, his team, and fans in relation to the scheduled rally on November 30.

"With the scheduled rally on the same date, this decision was made after careful consideration for the safety of the fans, the artist and all related teams," Ace Factory said.

The nationwide protest on November 30 follows the first Trillion Peso March on September 21, which demanded accountability, the return of stolen public funds, and full transparency in relation to the alleged anomalous flood control projects in the government

"We sincerely apologize to all the fans who have been looking forward to this fan meeting and to any inconvenience caused by this," Ace Factory added.

"We sincerely hope Lee Jong Suk can meet his fans in the Philippines again in the near future."

Local promoter Wilbros Live also shared Ace Factory's statement on social media.

Per Wilbros Live, fans who purchased tickets using a credit or debit card will be refunded automatically by TicketNet within 15 to 0 banking days.

Meanwhile, those who bought tickets via cash may head to TicketNet in Araneta Coliseum from December 15 to 21 to process their refund.

Lee Jong Suk's "With: Just Like This" fan meeting tour was supposed to be held on November 30 at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. The tour also has stops in Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, Taipei, Bangkok, and Hangkok.

He previously had a fan meet in Manila in 2023.

He is known for starring in the dramas "Doctor Stranger," Pinocchio," "W," "Big Mouth," and "While You Were Sleeping."
