Want a panoramic cinema experience? Check out ScreenX in Pasay City

There's a new way to enjoy movies on the big screen in town!

Just in time for the theatrical release of “Wicked: For Good” in the Philippines, SM Mall of Asia has introduced ScreenX: a cinema house poised as the first in the country to offer a 270-degree panoramic view that extends onto the side walls.

This new feature surrounds audiences with visuals projected across the front and side screens, allowing moviegoers to be fully immersed in the film.

Aside from the panoramic screens, the cinema also features recliner seats with wider leg room and a dedicated snack bar.

As of writing, “Wicked: For Good” is the only film screening on ScreenX, priced at P700.

2025 has also seen upgrades in several Metro Manila cinemas. In August, Glorietta in Makati City revamped its movie house with a new entertainment lobby and recliner seats.

In May, Gateway in Quezon City launched its Wolfgang’s Premiere Lounge, the first and only lounge in the world to pair Wolfgang’s Steakhouse dining with a cinema experience.

Meanwhile, Uptown Mall in Taguig City introduced its Tempur Cinema in 2023, where moviegoers can sit or lie down on a Tempur bed while enjoying the film.
