'Red Dead Redemption' out now on mobile; here's how to get it

For the first time ever, "Red Dead Redemption" has hit mobile phones!

As of Tuesday, the mobile version of the popular video game is available on iOS and Android devices, thanks to Netflix. Known as a streaming platform, Netflix in recent years has made a number of games available for its subscribers.

That said, the mobile version of "Red Dead Redemption" requires a Netflix subscription. Once subscribed, users can download the game on the App Store or Google Play for free.

"Red Dead Redemption," and its zombie-horror companion, "Undead Nightmare," have also been made available for new gen consoles, namely PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

For owners of older consoles like PS4, Nintendo Switch, and the digital backward compatible version on Xbox One, free upgrades are available digitally. Players can continue with their previous save data.

"Red Dead Redemption," released in 2010, follows John Marston, a former outlaw who sets out to bring three members of his former gang to justice. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
