'Supergirl' is cool but messy in first official teaser

DC Studios just released the first teaser for the upcoming "Supergirl" film, and it already looks like a load of fun.

Kara Zor-El a.k.a. Supergirl (Milly Alcock) is seen waking up hungover in a messy apartment, with Krypto the Superdog peeing on a newspaper. She is also shown celebrating her 23rd birthday by getting drunk in a bar.

"I hereby declare that 23 will be the best year yet," she says. "Let's be honest, babe, it's not a very high bar to clear."

Ruthye Marye Knoll (Eve Ridley) asks Supergirl about the demise of her homeplanet, Krypto, where Superman also came from, and what Superman is like.

"He sees the good in everyone," Supergirl says. "And I see the truth."

Directed by Craig Gillespie, “Supergirl” follows Supergirl as she joins forces with an unlikely companion on an "epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice."

It also stars Matthias Schoenaerts, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa.
