'Haikyuu!! vs. The Little Giant', ‘Haikyuu!! The Place Where Monsters Go’ to be released in 2027

Good news for “Haikyuu!!” fans as a couple of "Haikyuu!!" titles are set to be released in 2027.

“Haikyu!! vs. The Little Giant” film will drop in 2027, according to the announcement made on the official X account of the hit anime.

As previously reported, Susumu Mitsunaka, the filmmaker behind the animated series, is set to return as director of “Haikyuu!! vs. The Little Giant.”

As though that's not enough, a special anime titled “Haikyuu!! The Place Where Monsters Go” scheduled for release in 2027.

The special will depict the battle between Fukurodani Academy and Mujinazaka High School and their star players, Kotaro Bokuto and Wakatsu Kiryu, respectively.

Based on the manga by Haruichi Furudate, "Haikyuu!!" follows the story of Hinata Shoyo, who wishes to become a volleyball star like the "Little Giant," and joins the Karasuno High School Volleyball Team. Adventures turn up with Nekoma High School Volleyball Team, arguably their biggest rival, led by captain Kuroo Tetsuro and setter Kozume Kenma.

The anime adaptation began airing in 2014. The manga ended in July 2020.
